I say 1 on 1, I mean it's just you and the fish! I steer the boat
while you reel in the salmon.

I
love to fish early morning. On Lake Ontario, I'm usually on the
water by 5:00 am. I have often had 3 fish on before 7:00am.
I remember one morning, I had just dropped my cannon ball
down to 80 feet on the left rod. I was reaching over to set up
the right rod when all of a sudden my left rod started smacking.
I grabbed it and began to reel a 26 pounder. Ten
minutes later, I'm weighing and releasing the morning monster.
Then I drop the same cannon ball down to the exact same depth,
start the trolling motor, and 2 seconds later, I have another
20+ pounds fish-on!.
Again, after weighing the fish and releasing it, I set up the
left rod again and boom!. Yes, 3 fish just like that, one after
the other. In fact, I was on the water for approximately 45
minutes before I even had the chance to set up the second rod.
When the fishing is this good, who needs 2 rods in the water
anyway!.
